TWO new specialist heart and stroke units have been launched at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage – paving the way for local 24/7 life-saving heart attack treatment services.
An acute stroke rehabilitation service, which had been located at the QEII hospital in Welwyn Garden City, has been moved so it is now next to the hyper-acute stroke unit in the Lister’s main tower block.
