BBC News - Bolton care home standards 'not good enough'

The quality of care at a home in Greater Manchester is "nowhere near good enough", inspectors have said.

St Catherine's Care Home on Queen Street in Horwich, Bolton, was inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in July.

It said it had major concerns about nine essential standards affecting residents' general welfare, their cleanliness and nutrition.

Owner Tameng Care Limited said it was addressing the CQC's concerns.

The report, published on Friday, said there were gaps in protecting the privacy and dignity of people who lived at the home.
